Marketplace Issues

The SignalRGB marketplace (Shop and Library) lets you download effects, game integrations, and other content. If you are having trouble downloading or using marketplace content, the following steps usually resolve the issue.

If clicking download in the Shop does nothing, or the download fails to complete:

  1. Check your internet connection.
  2. Restart SignalRGB — sometimes the download queue gets stuck on first launch.
  3. If you are behind a VPN, try disabling it. VPNs can interfere with SignalRGB’s connection to the content delivery network.
  4. Check if your antivirus (especially Avast or AVG) is blocking the download. Add %localappdata%\VortxEngine\ to your antivirus exclusions and try again.
  5. Try the download from a different network if possible.

If the Library or Shop shows a blank page or fails to load content:

  1. Close and reopen SignalRGB.
  2. Check Settings > Application > Updates — an available update may need to be installed before the Library loads correctly.
  3. Check your internet connection and firewall settings.
  4. If you see a “Content server unavailable” error, check the Discord server for any known outages.

If you downloaded an effect but it does not appear in the Library:

  1. Restart SignalRGB — newly downloaded effects require a restart to index correctly in some cases.
  2. Search for the effect by name in the Library search bar.
  3. Check the effects directory manually: %localappdata%\VortxEngine\app-VERSION\Signal-x64\effects\. The effect file should appear there after a successful download.

If an effect appears in the Library but produces no output on your devices:

  1. Confirm devices are detected on the Devices page.
  2. Check that your devices are assigned to the canvas in your current layout.
  3. Some effects require a Pro subscription — look for a Pro badge on the effect. If the effect requires Pro and your subscription has lapsed, it will load but not run.
