Lian Li
Laggy Controller
Section titled “Laggy Controller”The Lian Li controller wasn’t designed to support real-time effects, that’s why the controller lags if you use more than one channel. There’s nothing we can’t do about it since it’s a hardware limitation.
We recommend using a supported controller like the Nollie or Razer ARGB controller and since Lian Li doesn’t use standard connectors, you would need some adapters.
Lian Li Fan Adapter Types Updated
Section titled “Lian Li Fan Adapter Types Updated”Lian Li fans use proprietary connectors rather than standard 3-pin ARGB connectors. You need the correct adapter for your specific fan series to connect them to a generic ARGB controller:
- AL/UNI FAN V1 — Lian Li V1 to 3-pin ARGB adapter
- AL/UNI FAN V2 — Lian Li V2 to 3-pin ARGB adapter
- AL/UNI FAN Infinity — Lian Li Infinity to 3-pin ARGB adapter
- SL V2 — Lian Li SL V2 to 3-pin ARGB adapter
Once adapted to standard 3-pin ARGB, the fans work with any supported SignalRGB-compatible controller such as the Nollie32, Razer ARGB Controller, or SRGBmods controllers.
Strimer Solutions Updated
Section titled “Strimer Solutions Updated”Lian Li Strimer Plus cables (PSU cable RGB sleeves) use a proprietary 8-pin or 4-pin connector for lighting. These connect to the Strimer Hub, which then connects via USB to the motherboard. The Strimer Hub appears as a controller in SignalRGB when supported.
If your Strimer cables are not responding in SignalRGB, check:
- The Strimer Hub is connected to an internal USB 2.0 header (not a USB 3.0 header).
- L-Connect (Lian Li’s software) is not running in the background — close and disable its startup.
- The Strimer Hub firmware is up to date (use L-Connect to update before switching to SignalRGB).
Fan Controller Workaround Updated
Section titled “Fan Controller Workaround Updated”If your Lian Li fan hub or controller is not natively supported by SignalRGB, you can bypass it entirely by wiring the fans directly to a supported ARGB controller using the appropriate adapters listed above. This gives you full per-LED control without the latency limitations of the Lian Li hub.
