ARGB Controller Setup
Section titled “ARGB Controller Setup”If your Cooler Master ARGB controller isn’t working with SignalRGB, a firmware update might be required to get it to work with SignalRGB:
- Quit SignalRGB (right-click icon bottom right in taskbar and select “Quit”)
- Download and install MasterPlus+
- Check for firmware update and install it
- Quit MasterPlus+
- Launch SignalRGB and check if it’s working now
- Uninstall MasterPlus+
Important: Unplug any hub or extension cables connected to the controller before starting the firmware update. Firmware updates run through the controller itself — connected devices can interfere and cause the update to fail or brick the controller. Reconnect everything after the update completes.
A1 Controller — Gen 2 Fan Compatibility Updated
Section titled “A1 Controller — Gen 2 Fan Compatibility Updated”The Cooler Master Gen 2 ARGB Controller A1 supports Cooler Master Gen 2 fans. If you have older Gen 1 fans connected to an A1 controller, they may not be recognized correctly by SignalRGB or may display incorrect LED counts.
If you experience issues with fans connected to an A1 controller, verify the fans are Gen 2 compatible. Gen 2 fans have a different LED addressing scheme and require a Gen 2-compatible controller. Mixing Gen 1 and Gen 2 fans on the same controller is not supported.
