Govee

Govee devices connect to SignalRGB over Wi-Fi using the Govee LAN API. This is different from most devices that use USB — Govee integration requires your devices and your PC to be on the same local network.

  • Govee device must support LAN control (check the Govee app — not all models support it)
  • Govee device and your PC must be on the same Wi-Fi network
  • LAN Control must be enabled in the Govee Home app for each device
  • SignalRGB must be running with network access
  1. Open the Govee Home app on your phone.
  2. Tap your Govee device.
  3. Tap the Settings icon (gear) in the top-right corner.
  4. Find LAN Control and toggle it On.
  5. Confirm the device connects to your local network (it should show your network name).

Without LAN Control enabled, SignalRGB cannot discover or communicate with Govee devices regardless of other settings.

Govee Direct is SignalRGB’s integration method that communicates with Govee devices directly over LAN without requiring the Govee cloud. Once LAN Control is enabled in the Govee app, SignalRGB can discover and control your Govee devices automatically.

If your Govee device is not appearing in SignalRGB after enabling LAN Control:

  1. Make sure your PC and Govee device are on the same subnet (connected to the same router or access point, not a guest network).
  2. Restart the Govee device and restart SignalRGB.
  3. Check your Windows Firewall — SignalRGB needs to be allowed to communicate on your local network. Add an inbound and outbound exception for SignalRGB if needed.
  4. Some routers block device-to-device communication by default (AP isolation or client isolation). Disable this in your router settings.

Not all Govee products support LAN Control. Compatible products typically include:

  • Govee Immersion TV Backlight (T2 series and newer)
  • Govee Envisual TV Backlight
  • Govee Glide series
  • Govee Neon Rope Lights

Check the SignalRGB Devices page for the current supported Govee device list.
