How to Clean Reinstall SignalRGB

A clean reinstall removes all SignalRGB files, settings, and configurations from your system and starts fresh. Use this approach when persistent issues have not been resolved by other troubleshooting steps.

Clean Reinstall Steps

Step 1 — Uninstall SignalRGB

  1. Open Windows Settings and go to Apps > Installed Apps.
  2. Search for SignalRGB, click the three-dot menu, and select Uninstall.
  3. When prompted whether to remove all settings, click Yes.

Step 2 — Delete Remaining Files

After uninstalling, manually delete any files that remain on disk.

  1. Open File Explorer and navigate to the following path, replacing USERNAME with your Windows username:

    C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Roaming\WhirlwindFX

  2. Delete the WhirlwindFX folder.

Step 3 — Power Cycle Your PC

Before reinstalling, perform a full power cycle to clear any residual state from connected devices and drivers.

Step 4 — Download and Run the Latest Installer

  1. Download the latest version of SignalRGB from the SignalRGB website.
  2. Run the installer and follow the setup wizard to complete the installation.

Step 5 — Sign In and Restore Your Data

  1. Launch SignalRGB and sign in to your account.
  2. Your cloud-saved effects and preferences will restore automatically.
