Missing Privileges

Rarely, SignalRGB can be affected by other applications also attempting to control devices. This can create a situation where SignalRGB requires Admin Rights into order to communicate with a device, or be unable to communicate with the device at all.

NZXT

NZXT CAM is known to set security descriptors on devices which means SignalRGB requires Admin Privileges to control them. This can be fixed by either:

• Running SignalRGB as Admin.
• Exiting/Uninstalling NZXT CAM. This may require a system reboot.

QMK / QMMK / Epomaker / Drop

These Keyboards all require SignalRGB compatible firmware which may present itself as SignalRGB being denied access to communicate with these devices. In order to fix this you should install SignalRGB compatible firmware using our QMK guide.
